The story of Unico starts with the two Pärsson brothers Stefan and Thomas, who was born and raised in Gothenburg. Thomas Pärsson who was an engineer from Chalmers in Gothenburg moves to Munich in 1989 to pursue his dream of living and working abroad. He worked at the German company Systemconsult GMBH with CAD.

His big brother Stefan Pärsson stays in Gothenburg Sweden and studies at Business School and begins his career within the finance sector.

In 1989 Thomas quits his job at Systemconsult and the brothers starts Unico GMBH in Munich. Their main customers were BMW, Volkswagen and Jaguar but they proceed to work with many of the large car producers in Europe.

A few years later, in 1994 Stefan starts Unico in Gothenburg and becomes the CEO. The main customer at the start is Volvo and the first office is in the harbour in Fiskebäck but further on they move their office to the centre of Gothenburg.

In 2016 Mats Ehn takes over as CEO and the journey continues. Today our largest customers are Volvo Car Cooperation, Scania, Yrkeshögskolan, GKN, Volvo AB.
